Der GeFIS e.V. setzt sich für junge homo- und bisexuelle Menschen zwischen 14 und 29 Jahren ein. Wir bieten ein umfangreiches Freizeitangebot (Gruppen, Workshops, Ausflüge; Spieleabende, Filmvorführungen etc.)und helfen Jugendlichen in ihrer Selbstfindungsphase (Coming-Out). Wir veranstalten präventive Infoabende zu den noch immer wichtigen Themen HIV/Aids und Geschlechtskrankheiten. Ein schwieriges Thema ist leider immer noch die Intoleranz gegenüber homo- und bisexuellen Menschen. Immer wieder kommt es vor, dass gerade junge Menschen (z.B. an Schulen) diskriminiert werden. Der Begriff “Schwuler” wird noch immer von vielen Jugendlichen negativ benutzt. Auch hier wollen wir mit Aufklärungsarbeit und -aktionen entgegen wirken. Wir verfügen über günstig gelegene Räumlichkeiten zur Umsetzung unserer Ziele. Neben einen öffentlichen Café gibt es einen Gruppenraum, der zu den unterschiedlichen Veranstaltungen genutzt werden kann. Zur Zeit bieten wir die kostenlose Internetnutzung via WLAN an, ab März werden wir dann auch eigene Terminals kostenfrei zur Verfügung stellen.

Mitgliedschaft
Vollmitgliedschaft: Vollmitglied kann jede natürliche Person, die das 14. Lebensjahr erreicht hat sowie jede juristische Person werden. Man bezahlt einen Jahresbetrag, welcher auch in monatlichen oder viertel-/halbjährlichen Raten gezahlt werden kann. Jedes Mitglied hat volles Wahlrecht und kann mit seiner Stimme und Ideen den Verein mitgestalten.
Fördermitgliedschaft: Fördermitglied kann jede natürliche Person, die das 14. Lebensjahr erreicht hat sowie jede juristische Person werden. Fördermitglieder haben im Gegensatz zum Vollmitglied kein Wahlrecht. Dafür können Sie die Höhe der Jahresbeiträge selbst entscheiden.
